Research interests lie at the intersection of qualitative empirical research and labor rights. His current project, a case study of a Chicago worker center, attempts to understand how worker centers may contribute to a moral project that helps to reduce wage and income inequality. He is also working on a purely doctrinal project (with Professor Sergio Gamonal of the Adolfo Ibañez University of Chile), which attempts to provide fresh meaning to U.S. work law through so-called Latin American principles of work law.
