The University at Buffalo,School of Law invites applications for the position of Director of Career Services. The School of Law serves approximately 450 full-time students and has over 45 full-time faculty members.
Responsibilities will include:
Manage and direct the Career Services Office (CSO) within the School of Law, and enhance career education, training and placement programs for law students and graduates.
Identify, contacts and cultivate relationships with a geographically diverse group of potential employers of law students and law school graduates in the private, public, and public interest sectors.
Learn the individual needs of potential employers and assist them in reaching law students whose interest are appropriate to their needs.
Oversee and manage CSO resources, personnel, and budget.

Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited Law School.
Five or more years of experience as an attorney.
Ability to travel 25% of the time.
Soft Skills such as strong interpersonal skills, organizational ability, prompt follow-through, initiative, high energy, attention to detail, strong work ethic and an ability to work independently.
Exposure to a variety of sizes and types of practice strongly preferred.
Experience in alumni and employer relations, counseling and higher education administration also strongly preferred.
