Position Summary
The University at Buffalo, School of Law invites applications for the position of Director of Career Services. The School of Law serves approximately 450 full-time students and has over 45 full-time faculty members. Responsibilities will include:
- Manage and direct the Career Services Office (CSO) within the School of Law, and enhance career education, training and placement programs for law students and graduates.
- Identify, contacts and cultivate relationships with a geographically diverse group of potential employers of law students and law school graduates in the private, public, and public interest sectors.
- Learn the individual needs of potential employers and assist them in reaching law students whose interest are appropriate to their needs.
- Oversee and manage CSO resources, personnel, and budget.

Minimum Qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited Law School.
- Five or more years of experience as an attorney.
- Ability to travel 25% of the time.
- Soft Skills such as strong interpersonal skills, organizational ability, prompt follow-through, initiative, high energy, attention to detail, strong work ethic and an ability to work independently.
- Writing proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to a variety of sizes and types of practice strongly preferred.
- Experience in alumni and employer relations, counseling and higher education administration also strongly preferred.
